How to play fantasy cricket on PlayerzPot, in seven steps.

If this is your first fantasy-cricket contest on PlayerzPot, the flow from install to lock-in is shorter than you think. The desk walks the seven steps in the order the in-app lobby actually shows them, so the first contest ends with a team you can defend on the leaderboard.

The first-contest flow

Install, sign-up, contest join.

PlayerzPot’s first-contest flow is a linear path. You will not encounter a payment wall before you understand the format — the practice contest is the on-ramp.

Step 1 — Install the app

The PlayerzPot app is the only place to enter a contest. The install surface is the Play Store listing; if your state restricts the listing, the official APK is the fallback. The install screen and the desktop site are not contest surfaces — they are reading material only. The install desk walks the Play Store and APK paths separately.

Step 2 — Sign up and verify your phone

Sign-up asks for a phone number, an OTP, and a display name. The phone number is the KYC anchor — choose the number you intend to use for deposits and withdrawals, because changing it later requires a fresh KYC cycle. Sign-up does not require a referral code; the field is optional.

Step 3 — Walk through the practice contest

Before your first deposit, the lobby offers a practice contest. The practice contest uses the same format as a paid contest but with no entry fee and a small prize pool. Walk the practice contest to confirm the pick-11-and-credit-cap mechanic on a live match before any money moves.

Step 4 — Read the credit cap and squad cost

Each player on the squad sheet carries a credit cost. Your eleven picks must total at or below the cap. The cap is the same for every team in a contest; the allocation is yours. The desk’s read: spread credit across three or four in-form all-rounders before stacking the cap on two marquee players.

Step 5 — Mark captain and vice-captain

The captain’s fantasy score is multiplied by 2 at the end of the match; the vice-captain’s by 1.5. The captain pick is the highest-leverage decision in the team. The captain desk walks the picks for T20, ODI and Test formats separately.

Step 6 — Confirm state eligibility and contest fee

Before joining, the lobby asks you to confirm your state. PlayerzPot is restricted in some states under the MeitY framework and the public-skill-game gazette. Confirm your state’s status on the legality desk before the contest join screen, not after.

Step 7 — Lock the team and walk away

Lock the team before the toss. Once the match begins, the team is locked. There is no mid-match edit. Walk away from the lineup card and check the leaderboard only after the match settles — checking it live is how second-guessing eats a contest.

To verify: the contest entry fee, the credit cap and the lock-in deadline are all numbers inside the in-app lobby. The desk does not invent them. If the number you see on a third-party site differs from the in-app lobby, the in-app lobby is correct.

Reading checklist

Three passes through any how-to-play page.

Contests are in-app, not on a website.Verified
The PlayerzPot website is editorial reading material. The contest surface is the in-app lobby. If a webpage asks you to enter a contest, you are not on the official surface.
The state-eligibility gate fires before join.Verified
The lobby confirms your state before the contest join screen. The legality desk lists the restricted states and the gazette citation behind the restriction.
The captain pick is locked at toss.To verify
The captain and vice-captain fields cannot be edited after the toss. Confirm the pick inside the lock-in window before the toss.
